A faith journey is one in which we wrestle with big questions, such as questions of who we are, who God is, and how the two intersect and exist in, and with, each other.  As young teens these questions can be interesting and sometimes difficult.

As a small group the Confirmation class will begin a journey this year to learn how to ask these questions, where to look for the answers and even how to be content living at times, in a place without answers but in a place of wonder and mystery called, Faith! This time of growth bubbles up with many important questions, including these:  Where am I going? What is the world about? How do I know what God is calling me to do or who to be?  In our time together we will seek to provide a safe space to be able to ask these questions of God, of ourselves, of each other and of the church.

Research shows that youth who have strong relationships with three adults (other than their family) in the church are more likely to be a member and participate in a church throughout their adult years. In order to foster and nurture these bonds, each student will be assigned a mentor ( of the same gender). These mentors will guide, assist, and pray for their mentee. Parents who would like to request a particular person are urged to email Martha Piesko as soon a possible

Confirmation Class is open to all rising sixth, seventh, or eighth-graders.  Martha Piesko and Jan Forhan will lead Confirmation, with the support of faith mentors from the congregation.
